Event Details

Aims of event:

Leicestershire County Council in partnership with Community Catalysts is launching an Innovation Challenge programme  with the aim  of assisting  providers to develop new, more personalised ways of working together with people receiving housing related support services, in particular older people and people at risk of homelessness. Part of the Innovation programme is the 'Empowering People - Unlocking Innovation' event.

This participative  and interactive event will enable you to:

  • learn more about the Innovation Challenge programme and ask questions
  • find out about the Bursary application process
  • hear about examples of personalised and co productive approaches from around the country
  • participate in workshops and networking opportunities
  • learn more about the Innovation Network and how you can get involved
  • get thinking about an innovative idea for your service development

Who  should attend ?

i.                     Housing support providers working with older people, including frail elderly and people at risk of homelessness

ii.                   Housing support providers working with other service user groups

iii.                  User led community groups delivering support to older people or people at risk of homelessness.

iv.                 Other community based support providers

If the event is over subscribed priority will be given to category i and the number of places per organisation maybe limited

This workshop will focus on how organisations can unlock the potential in their staff teams and user groups, supporting them to innovate and develop new enterprises

Workshop 2:

Unlocking potential in communities

Arts, Leisure and Communities’ Mick Fattorini and Nigel Thomas, Communities and Wellbeing Leicestershire with Community Catalysts.

This workshop will focus on  the contribution communities, arts and leisure can make  to  quality of life and well being  and provides an opportunity to share ideas about how organisations can use community resources to develop new ways of working

 

 

14.30 - 15.15   Speed Networking. A fast and fun way to exchange information about your business ‘against the clock’.  Bring your business cards or leaflets and get networking.
